This documentary tells the life and “almost death” of Kenneth Foster, an Afro-American boy who has attracted the attention and respect of the public opinion around the world, for his grueling fight for life against the Government of Texas that sentenced him to death for a crime he never committed. In fact, Kenneth was only the driver of the car where the murderer of Michael Lahood was, a young white boy and son of one of the most prominent attorneys in San Antonio. By virtue of the infamous Law of the Parties (law of accomplices), he was sentenced to death like his accomplice Mauricio Brown who was already executed last year.
His struggle, which lasted eleven years, had a successful outcome, only 6 hours before his execution on August 30, 2007 when, for the first time, the Governor of Texas, Rick Perry, commuted the sentence with humanitarian motives. Our crew was there and got the exclusive of the whole story.
